Take a look at Getty's best photos of 2019 

From the bushfire crisis ravaging New South Wales and Queensland to the final climb of Uluru, Getty Images has reveals its most powerful photos from the past year.  

As well as hard news, the images highlight some of the biggest sporting moments in Australia in 2019, such as the AFL Grand Final match between the Richmond Tigers and the Greater Western Sydney Giants in Melbourne. 

The pictures capture triumph and tragedy, including an aerial photo of the floods that devastated Townsville in February, killing five, and the Australian cricket team retaining the Ashes against England.
