Last season, Milan Skriniar, who was moving back and forth between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe during the winter transfer window, ended up signing with the yellow and navy team and had a successful season.
The Slovak defender, who spent half a season at Fenerbahçe, then returned to Paris Saint-Germain, the club that held his transfer rights. Fenerbahçe wanted to sign the 30-year-old defender on a permanent transfer, but Galatasaray made a surprising move.
Sport24, a media outlet from Skriniar's home country, reported that Galatasaray has been in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a transfer fee and that the French club is asking for 10 million euros.
Not stopping there, Galatasaray later also spoke with Milan Skriniar to learn what he thought about joining the yellow-red side. Skriniar's salary, which reaches 12 million euros, was highlighted as the biggest obstacle to the transfer.
The report also included the following statements: "Currently, Milan Skriniar's situation seems clear. PSG is ready to sell the player for 10 million euros, but his personal terms are currently preventing a quick progression in negotiations. Whether one of the Turkish clubs will raise their offer or if Skriniar will lower his expectations remains a question."
"It seems that the most logical solution for our national player would be to lower his personal demands, of course, if he still wants to stay in Europe. If he doesn't want to lower his conditions, it is said that he has also received offers from Saudi Arabia, and these offers are, of course, very attractive financially."
