Alcaraz dominates, storms into US Open third round

In a commanding display of skill, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz advanced to the third round of the US Open, easily defeating Italian Mattia Bellucci at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The world No. 2, who has a chance to reclaim the top spot in the rankings, secured a swift 6-1, 6-0, 6-3 victory.

Alcaraz's impressive form has been consistent throughout the tournament. In the previous round, the 22-year-old Spaniard smoothly handled American Reilly Opelka, winning in straight sets with a score of 6-4, 7-5, 6-4.

His next opponent for a spot in the fourth round will be Italian Luciano Darderi, the tournament's 32nd seed. Bellucci, ranked No. 65, had advanced to the second round after his opponent, Juncheng Shang, was forced to retire from their first-round match.
