Arsenal take Hincapie off Tottenham s hands

Arsenal, who started the Premier League with wins over Manchester United and Leeds United, started to reap the fruits of their pre-season signings such as Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyökeres.

Arsenal, who also added English star Eberechi Eze, with whom their arch-rivals Tottenham are in the process of signing, are not stopping in the transfer market.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal have stepped in for Ecuadorian stopper Piero Hincapie, who Tottenham have made a loan offer with an option to buy, and have made a significant progress in the transfer.

Arsenal, who are close to reaching an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen and the player, aim to officially announce this transfer in a short time.

The 23-year-old has a market value of €50 million, while Arsenal are reportedly willing to spend around €60 million for the player who can play as a left-back and stopper.
