The big question of the summer transfer window is where Orkun Kökçü will play next season. Beşiktaş has accelerated its efforts for the star midfielder, who is reportedly keen to leave Benfica.
Beşiktaş, continuing its transfer operations, is preparing to reinforce its midfield. The Black Eagles have reportedly reached an agreement with Napoli midfielder Jens Cajuste on a 1+3-year deal. Beşiktaş will pay Napoli 1 million euros as a loan fee and will have a 6.5 million euros purchase option. This clause will become active if Cajuste plays 15 matches. Moreover, Beşiktaş will pay the transfer fee in installments until 2028. The 25-year-old Swedish midfielder is expected to arrive in Istanbul this week for his signing.
PRESSURE ON MILAN FOR OKAFOR
Having already added Czech left-back David Jurasek and English striker Tammy Abraham to its squad, Beşiktaş is also making a strong push for Noah Okafor. The Black Eagles are trying to convince Milan with a loan deal that includes a purchase obligation at the end of the season. Milan initially rejected Beşiktaş’s proposal, as the Italian club prefers a permanent transfer. However, negotiations are ongoing, with Beşiktaş insisting on the loan-with-option formula.
PETERS CLOSING IN ON BEŞİKTAŞ
With Osayi-Samuel no longer in their plans, Beşiktaş is working to finalize a deal with right-back Kyle Walker-Peters, who is currently a free agent after his contract with Southampton expired. Attracted by the fact that there is no transfer fee involved, Beşiktaş has offered the 28-year-old a 2 million euros signing bonus. The proposed salary is 1.5 million euros per year on a three-year contract. Talks are said to be progressing positively.
ORKUN KÖKÇÜ WANTED BY MANY CLUBS
Beşiktaş has set its sights on Orkun Kökçü of Benfica, who has had issues with head coach Bruno Lage. The Black Eagles are aiming to sign the Turkish international on loan with an option to buy, while the Portuguese club demands a 30 million euros fee. Although Beşiktaş is leading the race in Turkey, both Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray are also interested in the 24-year-old midfielder. Meanwhile, the English press reports that Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham have added Kökçü to their transfer shortlist.
