The Black Eagles are eager to strengthen key areas of the squad in line with the requests of incoming manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Club president Serdal Adalı and his team have made signing a reliable striker their top priority. So far, names like Tammy Abraham, Beto, Kasper Dolberg, and Patrick Schick have been linked to the club.
Talks to begin soon
Among these, the top target is 29 year old Czech striker Patrick Schick, currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen. With a contract running until 2027, Beşiktaş intends to propose a loan deal for the player. Negotiations with the German side are expected to begin shortly. Meanwhile, Beşiktaş has also added another Czech player to their shortlist Vaclav Cerny, who can operate on the wings and spent this past season on loan at Rangers from Wolfsburg. The 27 year old is not expected to be part of Wolfsburg’s plans for the upcoming season, and Beşiktaş has reportedly made initial contact through intermediaries.
High price tag
Reports indicate that several other clubs are also interested in Cerny, but the player is said to be open to a move to Beşiktaş. However, Wolfsburg prefers to sell the player outright, and their asking price is believed to be around 9 million euros. Just like with Schick, Beşiktaş is expected to push negotiations to the limit in order to finalize the deal.
