Farewell from Bayern Munich to Leroy Sane! Emotional words after final match and a message to Galatasaray

Leroy Sane's time at Bayern Munich officially came to an end yesterday, with his contract expiring on June 30. As part of the FIFA Club World Cup squad, the German star took to the field one last time against Flamengo.

FAREWELL TO SANE

Bayern Munich defeated Flamengo 4-2, with Sane coming on in the 59th minute to replace Coman. The 29-year-old spoke about his farewell, while manager Vincent Kompany and his teammates also shared their messages to Sane.

“Great guys, great players, and the whole staff around me was amazing. I really loved my time here. I’ll miss the team. Five years is a long time. I just want to enjoy this evening with the boys and have a good time. Of course, I was the butt of a few jokes here and there, but that’s part of the beauty of it. Whether we won or lost, it was always fun. I didn’t come here for vacation. I could’ve done that somewhere else.”

Regarding Galatasaray, Sane said: “A new city, a new culture – one that I partially grew up in. I’m really looking forward to the team. The stadium, the fans. It’s going to be something truly special.”
