Garnacho hints at uncertain future after Europa League final snub

Alejandro Garnacho has ignited uncertainty around his future at Manchester United after expressing disappointment over his minimal involvement in the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham. The 20-year-old winger, who had started every Europa League knockout match leading up to the final, was limited to just 20 minutes off the bench—prompting him to question his role at the club moving forward.

Following the 1–0 loss, Garnacho didn’t hold back in sharing his frustrations, stating, “Until we reached the final, I played every round. And I played 20 minutes today—I don’t know.” The Argentine also criticized the team’s overall season performance, calling it “sh.t” and noting their failure to secure any significant league wins.

The comments have only added fuel to ongoing speculation about his status within the squad. Club sources have confirmed that Manchester United would consider selling Garnacho if a suitable offer—believed to be in the £60–70 million range—arrives during the summer window.

Meanwhile, despite questions surrounding individual players, United remain committed to their current managerial direction. Head coach Ruben Amorim is set to stay, with backing from the club to reshape the squad in line with his tactical preferences. Amorim has publicly expressed his desire to retain key figures like captain Bruno Fernandes, who has also said he would only leave if the club decided to sell.
