Manchester City have left the negotiations for Florian Wirtz

English Premier League side Manchester City are preparing for a major overhaul of their squad for next season after a disappointing season.

Having identified Bayer Leverkusen's German star Florian Wirtz as their number one target, Manchester City have decided to abandon this transfer.

According to Sky Sports, the club's management, who calculated that the Wirtz transfer would cost around 300 million euros with the transfer of Wirtz, along with the transfer fee, salary, image rights and agent payments, turned to alternatives because they thought that the player was not worth this money.
