EuroLeague champions Fenerbahce Beko have reached an agreement with six-year NBA player Talen Horton-Tucker.
According to BasketNews, the 24-year-old scoring guard has two options: either come to Istanbul or find a spot on an NBA roster. If he doesn't find the opportunity he wants in the NBA, he is expected to start his career with the 2025 EuroLeague champions Fenerbahce Beko.
In 305 NBA games with the Los Angeles Lakers, Utah Jazz and Chicago Bulls, Talen Horton-Tucker averaged 9.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 19.5 minutes, while shooting 42.7% from the field.
Although his role with the Chicago Bulls diminished (6.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists in under 13 minutes), he showed his potential again in the last part of the season. In April, he averaged 13.3 points, 2 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 22 minutes, helping the Bulls to six wins in their last seven games.
Horton-Tucker has averaged double-digit scoring for three straight seasons, having found more consistent minutes with the Lakers and Jazz in previous seasons. His NBA career high is 41 points, set in 2023.
Standing 6-foot-9 with a 2.16 wingspan and a strong physique, Horton-Tucker became the youngest American to win an NBA championship at just 19 years and 321 days old when he won the title with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, and the second youngest player in league history to win a championship after Darko Milicic.
The 46th overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft began his professional career after one season at Iowa State University. His teammate at the time, Tyrese Haliburton, recommended that Horton-Tucker stay another year, but the Chicago native opted to enter the draft early.
