Dusan Vlahovic, the highly sought-after Juventus star, is reportedly patiently awaiting offers from Europe's top clubs, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. While his management and Juventus have yet to receive any formal proposals, Vlahovic has made it clear he's unwilling to join Fenerbahce, a stance previously reported by Football Italia.
Vlahovic's position at Juventus has shifted recently, with his playing time decreasing under coach Igor Tudor. He saw limited action, playing just 19 minutes as a substitute in the club's recent Club World Cup debut against Al Ain. This reduced role may be fueling his desire for a move.
'Free' or 'not free'
Adding to Juventus's concerns, reports suggest that Vlahovic and his agent, Darko Ristic, are aiming for a free transfer exit in June 2026 when his current contract expires. This strategy would allow Vlahovic to command a significantly higher salary from any interested club, as there would be no transfer fee involved.
Juventus general manager Damien Comolli is scheduled to meet with Vlahovic and Ristic to discuss his future. However, it's understood that Vlahovic and his representative are reluctant to extend his contract beyond 2026, especially if it means accepting a lower salary. Vlahovic currently earns a substantial €12 million per season, and Juventus had reportedly hoped to spread this wage over a longer-term deal, a strategy pursued by Comolli's predecessor, Cristiano Giuntoli. The coming weeks will be crucial as Juventus navigates this challenging situation to avoid losing a valuable asset without compensation.
