2025 Hugo Ödülleri, hafta sonu Seattle’da düzenlenen 83. Dünya Bilimkurgu Kongresi WorldCon kapsamında sahiplerini buldu. Bilimkurgu ve fantastik edebiyat dünyasının en prestijli ödüllerinden biri olan Hugo Ödülleri, 2024 ve 2025 Dünya Bilimkurgu Kongresi üyelerinin oylarıyla belirlendi.
Fantastik ve bilimkurgu edebiyatının en köklü ödülü, ilk kez 1953 yılında verilmişti.
Adayları geçen nisan ayında belli olan ödüller, 2024 ve 2025 Dünya Bilimkurgu Kongreleri’ndeki üyeler tarafından oylandı; törenin sunuculuğunu Afrika asıllı Amerikalı yazarlar Nisi Shawl ile K. Tempest Bradford üstlendi.
En İyi Roman, En İyi Novella ve En İyi Kitap Serisi gibi dikkat çeken kategorilerde ödül alan eserlerin yazarları hiçbiri bugüne kadar Türkçeye çevrilmedi. En İyi Öykü ödülünün sahibi Nghi Vo ise daha önce iki ayrı eseriyle Türkçede yer bulmuştu.
En İyi Uzun Metraj Film kategorisinde ödülün sahibi Denis Villeneuve imzalı Dune: Part Two olurken En İyi Dizi Bölümü ise Star Trek: Lower Decks’in The New Next Generation bölümü seçildi.
